Good to see my boss George Williams making himself useful at home with his bread-making exploits.

Apparently someone urged him to feed the neighbours but moments before he lobbed a loaf over the garden wall, his lovely wife Barbie suggested he keep a few on the side in case it ever needed repairing.

Along with numerous other gags too painful to share, the GDN's editor-in-chief, reckons he was simply showing how home baking had become a 'rising' trend in these troubled times. Ouch!
