His Majesty King Hamad's message

Bahrain has taken all measures to ensure students complete their school year safely and successfully, His Majesty King Hamad has said, the GDN reported today.

He delivered a keynote speech to students amid national efforts to combat Covid-19.

“Ever since the pandemic broke out, priority has been given to ensure students’ safety,” he said. “We are taking all measures to enable them to complete their school year smoothly, safely and successfully,” he added, expressing confidence that they would achieve the desired results.

He thanked His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for leading Team Bahrain’s fight against Covid-19, taking pre-emptive measures and dealing responsibly with the pandemic’s dangers.

He paid tribute to the government, chaired by the Premier, for its efforts to serve the nation.

The King said he was reassured about students’ education under these exceptional circumstances, which Bahrain withstands with firm determination and resilience.

His Majesty extended greetings to teachers and administrators for their sincere endeavour to continue the educational process remotely.

“It is imperative, under such circumstances, to adhere to our patriotic approach in protecting the vital national interest, which is evident in the mettle of the loyal people of Bahrain,” he said, praising the nation for their self-discipline and responsible awareness to ensure safety and achieve full recovery.

He thanked Bahrain’s medical team which is sparing no effort and working round the clock, which enabled them to attain tangible results. The King stressed the importance of strengthening faith in God’s ability to lift this scourge and protect Bahrain and its people.

He extended sincere congratulations on Ramadan.

The royal address was video telecast last night during the “Be Aware” programme on Bahrain TV. The King commended the programme which raises key issues related to the fight against Covid-19.
