A total of 143 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Bahrain today.
This takes the number of active cases in Bahrain to 1,001, Raji Unnikrishnan reported on GDNonline this afternoon.
Of the new cases, 128 are among expatriate workers and 13 contracted the virus from coming in contact with positive cases, while two arrived from abroad.
Fifteen people were also discharged from treatment and isolation facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries to 663.
The number of people tested is now 72,647.
Meanwhile, another 531 people left preventive quarantine facilities, taking the figure to a total of 1,200. The individuals completed the necessary 14-day period and laboratory tests proved negative, clearing them of any infection.
