Covid-19 Ramadan Ruling Bahrain

There will be no majlises, ghabgas, mass Iftars, Gargaoun or end-of-Ramadan celebrations during the holy month to combat the spread of Covid-19, GDNonline reported tonight.

The decisions have been taken by the steering committee headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

They also include a ban on distributing Iftars packets on roads and setting up donation kiosks in public places.

All non-essential shops will be closed from 7pm on Thursday with sale of goods continuing online. The shops will be closed for two weeks until May 7.
