A 36-year-old expatriate man with underlying health conditions has become the eighth Covid-19 fatality in Bahrain, the Health Ministry announced, GDNonline reported this afternoon.
“The patient, along with all other active Covid-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team,” a spokesman added.
Another 71 new cases of Covid 19 have been registered in Bahrain. Forty-eight of these are migrant workers, 16 from contacts and the remaining from abroad, said the Health Ministry.
The active cases are 1,008, of which one patient now remains in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, 56 more people recovered and left treatment and isolation facilities taking the total to 1,082.
