Boy scout Quinn Roney answered a request from his local hospitals to create 'ear guards' to help take the pressure off healthcare workers who are wearing masks all day.
The ear guards prevent the security straps on surgical masks from rubbing into the back of the ears and head. Unfortunately, the elastic loops do more than keep your mask securely in place: they’re prone to causing irritation. In fact, it’s a common issue among health care workers.
Canadian Quinn has made a 3D printing pattern available to everyone.
