Another group of Bahrainis have been evacuated from Iran, reports Raji Unnikrishnan on GDNonline.
The Gulf Air flight landed at Bahrain International Airport today as part of the government’s International Covid-19 Repatriation Programme.
The Health Ministry announced that the flight followed preventive medical protocols.
- More than 3,800 Bahrainis have been evacuated from different countries around the world as part of the government’s Covid-19 repatriation programme.
This was revealed today by Foreign Affairs Under-Secretary Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa, who said the process will continue until the end of May.
Dr Shaikha Rana explained that the evacuation flights were organised in cooperation with Bahrain’s embassies abroad, the Health Ministry and the Covid-19 Task Force.
