A further 216 new cases of Covid 19 have been registered in the country, reports the GDNonline's Raji Unnikrishnan.
According to the Health Ministry’s website, active cases now stand at 2,997 with the number of patients in a critical condition rising to four.
Of today’s new cases, 201 were among expat workers and 15 were local contacts of active cases.
“To ensure the safety of all, the ministry continues to increase its testing capacity, carrying out 6, 268 in 24 hours,” said the ministry.
Eighty-two people have also recovered and left isolation facilities taking the total number of people to have recovered from the virus to 2,152.
