The Health Ministry has registered 183 new cases of Covid-19 today, taking the total number of active cases over the 4,000 barrier for the first time to 4,144.
Of the new patients, 119 were among expatriate workers and 64 were contacts of active cases.
The ministry also announced that 12 more people had recovered and left treatment facilities, with the total number of patients discharged to 2,774.
Of the total active cases, 4,138 are stable and six are in a critical condition.
A total of 234,978 people have been tested for Covid-19 in Bahrain so far and the virus has claimed 12 lives.
