Eid Al Fitr prayers will be broadcast live from the Grand Mosque, as Bahrain continues to implement measures to combat the spread of Covid-19, GDNonline reports.
The Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry made the announcement today following directives from His Majesty King Hamad.
As all mosques have been closed since March, the ministry explained that Eid prayers will be conducted similar to Friday prayers during Ramadan.
The imam and a select number of worshippers will be present at the Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre (The Grand Mosque), with the prayers being broadcast on television and radio.
The ministry also said that it has directed both endowments to ensure the call to Eid prayer is performed by muezzins via speakers in mosques around the country.
