Just received a message from my mate Rusty Golden, who visits Bahrain each year to entertain and inspire folk at the Big Texas BBQ in Juffair.
As many of you know, my sweet mother is battling a devil known as pancreatic cancer.
Before leaving USA in November, I had asked you to do me a favor and send her an old fashioned 'get well' card or letter to help lift her spirits.
There's something about holding & reading something someone handpicked and/or wrote heartfelt messages and words of encouragement, stories of similar situations, etc.
Those cards and letters were like powerful prescriptions and as I sit here in her sweet home in Alabama, I can see the bags of cards that she has read and reread countless times.
This disease is a monster 🤒 And even with family and friends around, there are stages when it's a very lonely sickness.
Especially when there's an invisible virus out there that keeps folks apart from each other. Especially when they are of a certain age with health issues. So,
I am writing to once again send cards and letters to her again.
There are days when she could use the healing powers of a new get well card.
